Hands
My hands upon my head I’ll place (Hands

Upon my shoulders, on my face (Hands on shoulders then face)
At my waist and by my side (Put hands on waist and by side)
Then behind me they will hide (Put hands behind back)
Then I’ll raise them way up high (Put hands up in air)
And let my fingers fly, fly, fly, (Wiggle fingers in air)
Then clap, clap, clap them
One - Two -Three! (Clap hands three times)
Now see how quiet they can be. (Sit down and rest hands in lap)
Sometimes my hands are at my side (Hold hands at side)
Then behind my back they hide (Put hands behind your back)
Sometimes I wiggle my fingers so (Wiggle your fingers)
Shake them fast, shake them slow (Shake fingers fast and slow)
Sometimes my hands go clap, clap, clap (Clip hands)
Then I rest them in my lap (Sit down and rest hands in lap)
Upon my shoulders, on my face (Hands on shoulders then face)

Two Little Feet
Two little Feet go stamp, stamp, stamp,
Two little hands go clap, clap, clap,
One little body stands up straight,
One little body goes round and round,
One little body sits quietly down.
Two little hands go clap, clap, clap,
One little body stands up straight,
One little body goes round and round,
One little body sits quietly down.
Two
Two eyes to see the things to do,
Two lips to speak clearly through,
Two ears hears to hear what others say,
Two hands to put the toys away.
Two lips to speak clearly through,
Two ears hears to hear what others say,
Two hands to put the toys away.
Ten Fingers
I have ten fingers (hold up both hands, fingers
spread)
And they all belong to me (point to self)
I can make them do things
Would you like to see?
I can shut them tight (make fists)
I can open them wide (open hands)
I can put them together (place palms together
I can make them hide (put them behind your back)
I can make them jump high (hands above head)
I can make them jump low (touch floor)
I can fold them up quietly (fold hands in lap)
And hold them just so.
And they all belong to me (point to self)
I can make them do things
Would you like to see?
I can shut them tight (make fists)
I can open them wide (open hands)
I can put them together (place palms together
I can make them hide (put them behind your back)

Peter and Paul
This one comes from Jenny in Kiwirrkurra.
This one comes from Jenny in Kiwirrkurra.
Two little cockies sitting on a wall,
One named Peter, the other named Paul,
Fly away Peter, fly away Paul,
Come back Peter, come back Paul.
One named Peter, the other named Paul,
Fly away Peter, fly away Paul,
Come back Peter, come back Paul.
Use pictures to make up some “cocky”
finger puppets. When the cocky’s fly away you need to show
the finger next to the one with the puppet on it as if it has vanished.

A child stands in the middle and closes their
eyes. They turn around while everyone recites the above. When they
stop they need to speak to who ever they are pointing at. They may
have a beanbag and need to say 1 will give it to him or her, Other
adaptions can be made to this activity so it reinforces the language
that you are doing in other lessons.
Open, Shut Them
Open, Shut them,
Open, Shut them,
Give a little clap,
Open, Shut them,
Open, Shut them,
Put them in your lap,
Creep them, Creep them,

Right up to your chin,
Open up your little mouth,
But, Do not let them in.

Put them in your lap,
Creep them, Creep them,
Creep them, Creep them,
Right up to your chin,
Open up your little mouth,
But, Do not let them in.
Open and shut hands, creep them up the front of
the body towards the chin. The last bit is done quickly with the
children hiding their bands behind their back.

Galloping, galloping, galloping,
How fast can my pony go
When he's tired we'll come home
Slow, slow, slow,
How fast can my pony go
When he's tired we'll come home
Slow, slow, slow,
The Frog
A little green frog once lived in a pool
The sun was hot and the water cool
He sat in the pool the whole day long
And sung a dear little, queer little song,
“Juaggery do, Quaggery dee,
No one was ever so happy as me."'
The sun was hot and the water cool
He sat in the pool the whole day long
And sung a dear little, queer little song,
“Juaggery do, Quaggery dee,
No one was ever so happy as me."'
A Green Frog
Said the little green frog as he sat on a log,
Nobody really likes me
A duck came along
And said “You are wrong''
And gobbled him up for tea..
Nobody really likes me
A duck came along
And said “You are wrong''
And gobbled him up for tea..

This little froggy broke his toe
This little froggy said '"Oh, oh, oh!
This little froggy laughed and was glad.
This little froggy cried and was sad.
This little froggy did just what he should
He ran for the doctor as fast as he could.

The Little Turtle
There was a little turtle
He lived in a box
He swam in a puddle
He climbed on the rocks
He snapped at a mosquito
He snapped at a flea
He snapped at a fish
And he snapped at me.
He caught the mosquito
He caught the flea
He caught the fish
But he didn't catch ME!

He climbed on the rocks

Insects and Bugs
Caterpillar
(words describe actions)
Little fuzzy caterpillar
In your warm cocoon
The cold winters over and you'll be hatching soon.
Then you'll spread your wings
On a warm summer's day
And wave us all goodbye
As you fly, fly, away.

Insects All Around
Ladybugs and butterflies,
Buzzing bees up in the sky.
Teeny, tiny little ants,
Crawling up and down the plants,
Many insects can be found
In the sky and in the ground.

Transport
I'm A Little Aeroplane
(To the tune of “I'm a little teapot”)
I'm a little aeroplane (Children raise arms to shoulder height)
Now watch me fly! (Spin arm in front as if it is propeller.)
Here are my instruments
From down low to up high (With the other arm they reach from the ground to above their heads)
First 1 get revved up (Make engine noises while still spinning their arms)
Lifting off the runway (Start walking forward)
Up into the sky! (They go up on their tiptoes and continue to move forward. Let them circle before returning to original positions.)

Away up in the sky (point)
Watch us gliding through the air (fly around the room)
This is how we fly.

L'ELEFANT EN BICICLETA
L'éléphant
au plafond

Mireu allà dalt
en els estels que hi ha:
és un gros animal
que en bicicleta va.
És un elefant
i que us pensàveu doncs!
Té una cua al darrera
i una trompa al davant.
Regarder là-haut
Ce qui monte au plafond
Cette grosse bête
Qui roule à bicyclette
C'est un éléphant
Mais oui évidemment
Avec une queue derrière
Et une autre devant.
(de plus en plus vite)
